JT Racing is back

JT Racing will be the Presenting Sponsor this weekend when JT Racing founders John and Rita Gregory are inducted into the Hall of Fame. After the motorcycle world honors John and Rita Gregory for their legendary past this weekend, JT Racing will be looking to the future with its new line of motocross gear.

The legendary motocross gear company is back and ready for action. JT Racing, which was at the top of the Motocross game in the 1970's, 80's, and 90's, is back with a new line of high end riding gear.

The world will get its first glimpse of the new gear this weekend in Las Vegas when John and Rita Gregory, who founded the company in 1970, are inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame. JT Racing will also be the Presenting Sponsor of the event.

JT Racing will be re-launching its brand this year.

motorcross- Yamaha's Harley Quinlan a training accident

THE promising career of Biloela motocross rider Harley Quinlan appears to be over after a tragic training accident where he suffered serious neck injuries.
GYTR Rockstar Yamaha development team manager Scott Bishop told Central Telegraph Quinlan had suffered severe damage and he had surgery to fuse and pin his spine at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane on Wednesday.
Quinlan is only now starting to regain consciousness while family and friends have rallied around the downed rider.
Mr Bishop said Harley's Mum Donna travelled down from Biloela to Brisbane on Wednesday afternoon to join Quinlan's dad to be by his bedside.
A trust account to help the Quinlan family with rehabilitation costs has been set up
"Passion, dedication, commitment and a driving will to succeed will see Quinlan overcome this set back," Mr Bishop said.
Quinlan's Facebook page was filled with well wishes.
“Get well soon mate, you'll pull through, you're a big inspiration for so many other riders like myself,” Fellow rider Jordan Dobell wrote.

SUNSHINE Coast rider Ford Dale says he’ll dedicate this weekend’s round of the Supercross series to best mate and rival Harley Quinlan who is facing life in a wheelchair.
On Tuesday Quinlan suffered a serious neck injury after crashing during practice at a track at Fernvale, west of Brisbane.
Dale and Caboolture-based Quinlan regularly trained together at Caloundra and both rode for Yamaha in the Pro-Lites division.
Quinlan, who raced for the GYTR Rockstar Yamaha team, was in sixth spot on the Pro-Lites leaderboard going into this weekend’s fourth round of the Supercross series in Auckland with Ford, who rides for Serco Yamaha, in 10th.
Dale said Quinlan knew the risks of motocross racing and his mate’s accident would not affect his decision to race in the future.
Doctors have confirmed it is extremely unlikely that Harley will regain any movement or feeling below his chest, although suggest his shoulders and arms should regain movement.

Quinlan is only now starting to regain consciousness while family and friends have rallied around the downed rider.

"On behalf of Yamaha, we are shocked and saddened by the news of Harley's injuries. We send our thoughts, prayers and best wishes to Harley and the Quinlan family in this difficult time," says Motorsport Manager, Ray Howard.

Motocross - Ty Kellett suffered severe head injuries

Ty Kellett suffered severe head injuries in a spectacular crash at Weston Beach Race last October.
This year's race began yesterday with a new side-by-side category.
Some of the best riders from Motocross and Enduro take part tomorrow for the solo race and the best British Quad riders for the race today.
ARMED with a new bike and a new helmet motocross rider Ty Kellett is weighed in and ready for the race which left him in a coma for three weeks last year.
The weekend of motorbike action opened yesterday with a side by side car competition along the front and freestyle demonstrations on the vast mounds of sand created for the course, renowned among riders and fans.
Almost all the riders taking part in Sunday's main event arrived at the beach-front venue yesterday, although organisers reported last- minute entries still coming in last night.
This year's race, limited to 500 riders, is nearing capacity and yesterday Weston-super-Mare's beach front was swarming with petrol heads, tinkering with their machines and making last-minute adjustments before they were weighed in ahead of the race.
Today the junior motocross and quad bike races take place, featuring Ty's younger brother Todd, 13.
His big brother is taking part in the main race tomorrow at 1pm.
"I just want to hit the sand on Sunday.
The relaxed young rider plans a leisurely start with a good breakfast while drinking plenty of liquids ahead of his three-hour endurance race in front of thousands of spectators.

Ty Kellett suffered serious head injuries during a crash at last year's event that forced it to be cancelled.

As well as the head injury, Ty also serious back injuries, a severed liver and a severely broken leg after being involved in a huge crash at the beginning of the main race.

Ty's mum Carol echoed his thanks for the charity: "The charity help meant we could stay with Ty in Bristol while he was in intensive care, which was a real help."

Organiser Gareth Hockey is another person looking forward to the 28th event getting underway.

the final 2010 AMA Motocross

Yoshimura R&D of America finished off an impressive 2010 AMA Pro Motocross series on Saturday at Pala Raceway in Pala, California, with two convincing victories. Dungey secured the 2010 "AMA Pro Motocross Championship" at Round 10 of the series, giving him his second championship of the year after earning the 2010 AMA Supercross title in May. Another phenomenal Yoshimura racer, Ashley Fiolek raced with amazing heart and speed at Pala and ended her year in the WMX with a first-place finish for the day and second overall in the championship run.

Dungey picked great lines on the rough track and used the Yoshimura power of his Suzuki to propel him past the racers ahead of him. Dungey eventually passed Short and took the lead by the midway point in the race and never backed down. Dungey scored another moto win for a perfect way to end his incredible season. Short finished right behind Dungey for second, giving him second overall for the day and third in the championship for 2010. Kevin Windham had another solid moto and he placed eighth, putting him in seventh overall at Pala. Windham finished 14th in the series, impressive seeing that he only raced six of the 12 races on the circuit.

In the WMX series, reigning champ Ashley Fiolek had a big mountain to climb with her Yoshimura-equipped Honda CRF250. In moto 1, Fiolek set her sights on winning.
450 Motocross class - it was Ryan Dungey's day to cap off an amazing AMA Pro racing season. Red Bull Honda's Andrew Short and Geico Powersports Honda's Brett Metcalfe were battling for who would finish in second position in the final 2010 AMA Motocross point standings. It was down to two riders for the 2010 AMA 250 Motocross Championship - Christophe Pourcel and Trey Canard. Pourcel came into the event seven points ahead of Canard.

Rockstar Makita Suzuki
