MotoGP:Japanese motorbike rider Shoya Tomizawa has died


    The 2010 Misano MotoGP event was shaping up to be a pivotal weekend in all the championships.
    Japanese motorbike rider Shoya Tomizawa has died following a crash during today’s San Marino Moto2 race at the Misano World Circuit.
    “Everybody involved in "MotoGP" extends its deepest condolences to Shoya’s family and friends at this tragic loss,” the motorcycling series said in the statement.
    He was racing in the Moto2 section, ahead of the MotoGP.Moto2 is the new name for the former 250cc category below MotoGP.
    Spain's Dani Pedrosa's win yesterday in the MotoGP event was his fourth victory of the season. The Honda rider led from start to finish, beating championship leader Jorge Lorenzo into second place. Valentino Rossi, like Lorenzo a Yamaha rider, was third.
